Privacy
This notice describes the current behaviour of spurnmedia.com. It will be updated before SPURN introduces a newsletter provider, analytics stack or another material data-collection system.
What SPURN currently collects
SPURN does not currently offer user accounts, paid subscriptions or an active newsletter signup. The current frontend does not include SPURN-operated advertising or audience-analytics scripts.
If you email hello@spurnmedia.com, we receive the information you choose to send, including your email address and message. We use it to respond to you and to keep the records reasonably necessary to handle the correspondence.
Search
Site search is performed in your browser against a static index of published SPURN stories. A search term may appear in the page URL and therefore in your browser history and in normal hosting request data.
Hosting and fonts
SPURN is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub states that a visitor's IP address is logged and stored for security purposes when a GitHub Pages site is visited. SPURN also loads its Chillax typeface through Fontshare, which means your browser connects to Fontshare infrastructure to request font resources.
Cookies and tracking
SPURN's current site code does not intentionally set analytics or advertising cookies. Third-party infrastructure used to deliver the site may process technical request information under its own policies.
Newsletter
The SPURN Brief signup infrastructure is present but subscriptions are not open and no delivery provider has been selected. Before email collection is enabled, this notice will be updated to identify the provider, purpose, relevant data flows and retention approach.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, data-protection law may give you rights to information, access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection. To ask a privacy question or make a request concerning information SPURN holds directly, email hello@spurnmedia.com.
Data sale
SPURN does not sell personal data.
